EVENT DESCRIPTION
National Scientific Conference “Exploration, discovery, knowledge, interpretation”

Educational points: : NO

Dear Sirs,

The Center for American & European Studies (an entity conducting mainly scientific activities independently and continuously) invites you to participate in the National Scientific Conference “Exploration, discovery, knowledge, interpretation”.

WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ABOUT?

The main assumption of the conference is to discuss the processes and effects of exploration, discovery, knowledge and interpretation in all their dimensions.

We will approach these issues from the perspective of social sciences and humanities (law, psychology, pedagogy, history, religious studies, political science, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, cultural studies, economics, etc.), as well as exact, natural and engineering-technical sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, astronomy, geography, engineering, IT, etc.).

We encourage you to freely choose the topic of your presentation according to your own interests and specialization. Presentations can be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.

Topics may have both a contemporary dimension, concerning the latest discoveries, e.g. in the fields of development of artificial intelligence and robotics, space exploration, as well as a historical dimension, related to the pursuit of knowledge, (re)interpretation of past events and discoveries from the past.

We believe in the freedom of academic discussion and do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons. Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.

Proposed (example) thematic areas:

Issues from the history of ideas and the development of scientific concepts.
Black holes in the lens.
Cloning of extinct species.
Methodology of science - case studies.
Colonization of Mars - challenges and opportunities.
Conscious machine - the near future or a pipe dream?
Columbus' discovery of the New World - interpretation.
Reinterpretations of paleontological discoveries.
What is at the bottom of the Mariana Trench?
How was the COVID-19 vaccine created?
How Homo Sapiens Conquered the World.

Catastrophes That Could Have Been Prevented.

Conspiracy Theories – Then and Now.

Are We Doomed to Repeat History?

The above-mentioned thematic areas are only examples – we strongly encourage you to go beyond them.

In addition, presentations may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.

We believe in the freedom of academic discussion and do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons. Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.

FOR WHOM?

We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, as well as all other people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.

Passive participation does not require any scientific qualifications.
